Aly Somani

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto and am on the job market for 2022-2023.

Prior to my PhD, I worked with the fixed income team at Sprott Asset Management for five years. Using Python and SQL, I developed a suite of analytics that helped the team identify profitable investment opportunities for our funds.

I grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. I completed a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in 2012.
